Halloween

What a fun season its been. We've been enjoying the cooler weather and doing lots of fun things as a family and with our friends. Here are my four favorite kids all dressed and ready for one of our many parties. A witch, a little lady bug, and 2 ninjas.

I don't quite understand the whole point of carving pumpkins, its a lot of work for something you have to throw away the next day or so. I figure if it makes my kids this happy then its worth it :)

Thanks to Auntie Kristi for helping the kids with their pumpkins, made everything a whole lot more fun and much easier too.

5 good friends who's husbands all work with my hubby. Wish we all lived closer, its so nice being around gals who can relate so well to my life.

More good friends at the Halloween party. I'm so grateful for good friends. My hubby wasn't able to come to the party, so 2 of my friends were good sports and included me in their little "gang" so I wouldn't feel so alone.

Carpinteria Tradition carries on

For those of you who don't know, Kirk and I grew up camping at Carpinteria. We fell in love there and shared our first kiss on the beach under the moonlight. So, we are carrying on the tradition of Carpinteria and loved every moment of being there with our little family this year. Here we are after 10 years of marriage and 4 kids later, still in love.

A walk to the donut shop

The kids could play in the sand and water all day, and they did :)

We cruised down to Santa Barbara to walk on the Pier and show the kids around. We spotted some sea life and pelicans.

We ended up on a family bike ride. Kirk and I got quite the workout and we made a good family memory.

I'm looking forward to our next family adventure. Everyday I am thankful for the joy my family brings to my life. I can't imagine life without a single one of them.

Capri's Scandia Party

My sweet Capri is growing up, the big 7. This year I didn't even get to plan the birthday party. She had it all planned out. She knew which friends she wanted and what she wanted to do. I was tempted to try to sway her, but then I realized that a night at Scandia and a little sleepover would make her dreams come true. So we did exactly what she wanted.

They rode on everything. Kirk and I were cracking up watching them try to maneuver these little boats.

And we couldn't believe these 3 weren't afraid to ride on this Cliff Jumper ride, seriously I would've been nervous to ride (one friend wasn't as brave and skipped this one)

Of course a kid's idea of a perfect night wouldn't be complete without kids meals!

The one thing I did get to do is make my 7 year old a birthday cake.

I am so very grateful to have the blessing of being Capri's mom. She is the kindest little girl you could ever find. She is a wonderful sister, friend, and daughter. Happy Birthday Capri!!!!
