Last weekend and throughout this week we celebrated Capri's 5th birthday. Its still hard to believe that my sweet little girl is growing up. She has been such a joy to have in our family. From the time she was a baby to now we have enjoyed every minute. She is an extra special girl with a soft, loving heart. Her forgiving heart is one thing that never ceases to amaze me. She is also so good at making friends. My mom tells me I was just like her as a child- whether we are at the park, pool, beach, or anywhere else she has a new friend. Her dad and I are so proud of her for working so hard in school. She is doing well at learning all her letters and the sound that each one makes. We love you Capri and hope we helped all your birthday wishes come true.
Here are a few pictures from her not so "small" family & 1 special friend party. Thanks to my mom lending out her backyard, we were able to have Capri and Trent's wish of having all their cousins at their birthday party, and a few good friends as well. There was swimming, a water slide, lots of food, and even my brother Jason's live band for entertainment. It was a fun day.
Here is the Birthday Princess opening up her array of fun gifts.
Special birthday cupcakes that Janell created. Capri and Trent were celebrating together, so this barbecue theme was fun and fit both genders.
A pool full of kids and a few brave adults. Glad the weather worked out so well.
Capri and 2 of her best friends, Nora and Julia.
We saved her big birthday surprise for her actual birthday, Sept. 23rd. She's been asking for a bike for months, so she was really excited and jumped right on and rode for quite a while.
