2nd Annual Valentine Rain Out

This year was Capri's second annual Valentine party. It was fun that she was able to invite a few of her school friends to come, and I was able to get to know a few of the moms. The plan was to have the party at the park. We were hopeful that we wouldn't get rained out like last year, but of course this California El Nino hit just in time for the party to be forced into my small condo/garage yet again. We made due and of course the kids didn't mind one bit.

First they enjoyed their lunch. Capri's unusual request was ham sandwiches, Cheetos, grapes and strawberries. Mom made that happen, which put a big smile on Capri's face. (I would have gone with pizza for sure if it was my choice!)

Then they played a few games and spent some time making some cute valentine bracelets.

Last they decorated bags and filled each other's bags with valentines.

The smile on Capri's face makes all of it worthwhile. I love you Capri. You are certainly someone who loves everyone, so Valentine's Day will always be a day that reminds me of you.
