An Abrupt Ending

For the kids' spring break we decided to do a little camping trip, so we got packed to the brim and headed to one of our favorite spots.

The kids were all smiles, even London.

She was a handful at the beach, so we tried to keep her up out of the water and sand as much as we could. As you can tell, she wanted to eat the beach and despite how much we tried to keep the sand out of her mouth she got a few big bites in :)

We went on some fun scooter rides, and of course got our classic shot in front of the Carpinteria sign.

Bruin took a decent shot of Kirk and I, maybe the dry spell of no pictures of mommy might be coming to an end.

We went on a fun hike and did lots of other fun things that Bruin wanted to pass off for scouts~not sure when the kids started with the peace signs.

On the second day of camping it was really chilly so we headed out to the city for the day and went to the movies, hit up some thrift shops and had a fun time. When we came back to our campsite the wind/rain had torn down our tent (wish I had got a pic, but I didn't think it was the best time to whip out the camera). The rangers informed us that the storm was only going to get worse that night, so we did what anyone would do: packed up, threw the tent away and headed home. The kids were upset a little at first, but we hit up Cafe Rio on the way home and they were still throwing the peace sign.

Although our trip ended abruptly, we made a family memory and had a great time.
